How Are Facial Tissues Made?
Facial tissue paper is crafted from virgin wood pulp, which is processed into flakes after being logged and cut into chips.
These flakes are then mixed with water to form a pulp, with chemical additives enhancing the paper's softness, strength, and colour. Lotions and added fragrance contribute to the tissue's pleasant scent.
What Is Facial Tissue Used For?
Facial tissues are primarily used for facial cleansing, nose blowing, makeup removal, or light surface wiping. Their disposable nature makes them convenient alternatives to handkerchiefs and cloths.
Do Facial Tissues Dissolve in Water?
While facial tissue paper eventually dissolves in water, it does so at a slower rate compared to traditional toilet paper. Therefore, flushing facial tissues down the toilet is strongly discouraged, as it can lead to drainage system clogs.
