Brasso Metal Polish 175ml

Brasso Metal Polish is a liquid polish that removes tarnish, dulling and finger marks from bare metal and restores its shine. Cleaning and maintenance teams use it on brass door furniture, handrails, kick plates, bar fonts and fittings, signage and decorative metalwork in hotels, pubs, offices, places of worship and heritage buildings.

Which metals can you use Brasso on?

Brass, copper, chrome, pewter, bronze and stainless steel.

Do not use on: silver, or on lacquered, painted, antique-finished or plated surfaces. Brasso contains a mild abrasive that will strip lacquer and wear through thin gold or silver plating. Many modern brass fittings are lacquered at the factory, so if the metal still looks bright but feels smooth and glossy, it is probably lacquered and only needs wiping with a damp cloth. If you are unsure, test on a hidden area first.

How to use Brasso metal polish

1. Shake the bottle well.
2. Wipe the metal to remove loose dust and grime.
3. Apply a small amount of Brasso to a soft, clean cloth and rub onto the metal. For heavy tarnish, rub gently in small circles.
4. Allow to dry to a light haze.
5. Buff with a separate clean, dry cloth until it shines.

Use a cotton bud or soft brush to reach detailed areas such as engraving and hinges. On items that are handled a lot, such as door handles and push plates, regular polishing slows the build-up of tarnish.

Brasso is flammable. Keep it away from heat and open flames, use in a well-ventilated area and wear gloves for longer jobs. Keep out of reach of children.
