What is Fairy Professional washing-up liquid used for?
It is a hand dishwashing liquid for crockery, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans and utensils. The concentrated formula lifts grease and dried-on food residue, including from cookware, and works in hot or cold water.
Not for automatic dishwashers or glasswashers. Washing up liquid foams heavily and can damage machines. Use a dedicated machine detergent instead.
How much washing-up liquid should you use?
Because it is concentrated, a small dose is enough for a full sink. [ADD DOSE FROM LABEL, e.g. ml per sink or per litre of water.] Overdosing does not clean better. It wastes product, leaves residue on glassware and means more rinsing. A pump dispenser fitted to the 5 litre container gives staff a consistent dose every time.
Washing up routine for commercial kitchens
- Scrape food waste from plates and pans before washing.
- Wash in hot water with the correct dose of Fairy, starting with glassware and cutlery and finishing with pots and pans.
- Rinse in clean hot water to remove detergent.
- Air dry on a rack where possible, rather than using tea towels.
- Change the washing water when it becomes greasy or cool.
Safety and COSHH
